Dear friends from the Research Journey Workshop
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for being such a wonderful participant at the workshop for the past two days. I must confess that this was my most tiring workshop but I enjoyed every moment of it. I missed the interaction with future scholars being away from Malaysia and it was the best gift I got for coming home.
This workshop was truly successful and it would not have been if not for the vision of Majid and Azita. The idea of this workshop was proposed by both of them even before I left to Otago in June. Being parents and students themselves, Majid and Azitaunderstand the struggles of postgrad students and it is indeed a blessing to have a couple who are so dedicated to ensure that others benefit. Not forgetting Mahour too who is just 5 and who has been such a joy to all of us during the workshop. Her childish smile and “satu Malaysia” slogans were indeed a welcoming input for the workshop!! Her presence simply indicated to us the value and importance of the “biggest rock” in our lives - both Majid and Azita demonstrated what I have been emphasing –the value of the family. Both Majid and Azita have made a lot of personal sacrifice in organizing this workshop. They have been extremely efficient in ensuring the smooth running of this workshop. I trust all of you will remember them in your prayers. Thank you to all the others from MMU and UPMISA who have assisted both Majid and Azita. Your contributions and sacrifices will always be remembered.
Once again, thank you for being such a wonderful group of participants. I have learnt a lot from all of you. Thank you for making my trip back worthwhile.
Warmest Regards,
